At ZoniLive, protecting children's privacy is a core part of how we design and operate our Spanish learning platform. We understand that parents and guardians place their trust in us when their children learn online, and we take that responsibility seriously.
This Children's Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, protect, and manage personal information relating to children who use ZoniLive. It also explains the rights parents and legal guardians have over their child's information. This notice follows applicable child-privacy laws, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which applies to children under the age of thirteen, as well as similar regulations in other regions.
This notice applies to children who participate in ZoniLive Spanish classes, activities, or learning groups, and to their parents or legal guardians. Parents and guardians are responsible for creating and managing child accounts, providing consent, and making decisions about their child's participation on the platform. Where local laws define children differently by age, ZoniLive follows those legal requirements.

Most personal information about children is provided directly by parents or legal guardians when they create an account or enroll a child in Spanish learning activities. This information may include a child's first name or nickname, age range, time zone, and learning preferences. Parents may also choose to share optional information, such as learning needs or educational support details, to help teachers better support their child. Sharing this optional information is always voluntary.
After parental consent has been verified, children may also share limited information while using ZoniLive. This can include participating in lessons, responding to teachers, using chat features during class, or showing interest in certain learning topics. ZoniLive collects only the information needed to provide safe and effective learning experiences. Children are never asked to provide payment details or sensitive personal information.
Children use ZoniLive through dedicated child learner accounts that are designed with safety and privacy in mind. These accounts have limited permissions and are different from parent accounts. Children can attend Spanish classes, join learning groups, and participate in activities, but they cannot make purchases, change account settings, or enroll themselves in paid programs.
Parents and guardians remain in full control of their child's account. They can manage enrollment, review activity, and remove their child from any class or activity at any time. Parents can view their child's learner profile but do not directly participate in child learning sessions.
ZoniLive Spanish classes are delivered online and often include live video, audio, chat messages, and shared educational materials. These tools help children practice language skills, interact with teachers, and engage with other learners in a supportive environment.
For learning quality, safety, and platform support, classes may be recorded. Recordings allow families to review lessons and help ZoniLive maintain high teaching standards. Access to recordings is limited to authorized participants, such as enrolled learners, their parents or guardians, instructors, and relevant ZoniLive staff. Additional parental permission is required before any recording is used for purposes beyond normal learning and operational needs.

Children's personal information is used to deliver Spanish learning services, support participation, and ensure a safe learning environment. Some information helps ZoniLive understand learning interests so we can suggest appropriate classes or activities to parents and guardians. Parents can choose whether to follow these recommendations or manage learning topics themselves.
Optional information does not affect a child's ability to access or enjoy ZoniLive services.
In some situations, a child may attempt to create an account without parental approval. When this occurs, ZoniLive creates a limited access account with very restricted features. These accounts allow minimal interaction, such as selecting an avatar or browsing available learning topics, but do not allow enrollment in classes or communication with teachers or other learners.
Parents or guardians are notified and can choose to upgrade the account by providing consent or request that the account and associated information be removed.
Children's information is shared only as necessary to provide learning services. Teachers can access information needed to conduct classes and support learners. Other participants in a class may see video, audio, or chat messages shared during live sessions.
ZoniLive staff and trusted service providers may access information for safety, technical support, and operational purposes. We do not allow third-party advertisers or marketers to collect or use children's personal information on the platform.
ZoniLive obtains verifiable parental consent before collecting or using a child's personal information. Parents and guardians have full control over their child's account and may withdraw consent at any time. Parents have the right to review their child's information, request updates or corrections, request deletion, or limit future data use.
If consent is withdrawn, the child's access to ZoniLive will be disabled, except where information must be retained for legal compliance or safety reasons.
ZoniLive uses limited technical tools, such as cookies or similar technologies, to ensure the platform functions properly and securely. These tools support essential features like session management and performance improvement. ZoniLive does not permit advertising-related tracking or behavioral profiling in child learning areas.
Children's personal information is retained only for as long as it is necessary to provide Spanish learning services or meet legal obligations. Parents may request deletion of their child's information at any time. In some cases, certain records may be kept temporarily for legal or safety reasons.
Some Spanish instructors may recommend third-party websites or learning tools to support lessons. These services are not operated by ZoniLive, and their privacy practices may differ. Parents and guardians are encouraged to review the privacy policies of any external tools before allowing their child to use them.
